This is the building that we’ve all seen on TV and Movies. There are newer and more functional city buildings but this is an LA icon and sets the start of Gloria Molina Grand Park. In the park today were memorials “Honoring the people, places and ideas that merit adoration and commemoration, Gloria Molina Grand Park’s 12th annual Downtown Día de los Muertos welcomes parkgoers to pay reverence at 19 altars created by professional artists and local community organizations.

A more modern icon of LA architecture is the Walt Disney Concert Hall designed by Frank Gehry. It is in his signature style that Seattle residence might recognize from his Experience Music Project at the Seattle Center.
(The last picture was taken by one of the Halls guides. I don’t know what she did but with that stretch I look more like an LA Lakers player!)
